Become a Lifesaver - Join Kirra SLSC

Absolutely anyone can join!

Have you ever thought about becoming a surf-lifesaver?

We need a team of skilled and supportive members to not only patrol Queensland's beaches, but to fill a number of other important roles as well.

You could be a coach, carnival official, athlete, fundraiser, a supervisor for our junior activities program, a committee member, radio operator, trainer and assessor, or a rescue boat driver. We also have roles for people who are masters in cooking up a bbq!

And the list doesn't stop there. Do you know that you can join as long as you are five years of age? You don't need to be a super fit swimmer, nor do you have to get your toes wet if you don't want. As long as you have a positive attitude, then you've got what it takes.

Become a lifesaver and become part of an iconic Australian organisation! No matter if you are young or simply young at heart, there's a role for everyone on and off the beach. You can contribute to the safety of our beaches, and our community.

All sorts of people are surf lifesavers. They come from all walks of life, in all shapes and sizes. Surf lifesaving is built by volunteers who love the beach and their community, are looking for fun, fitness, and want new skills and challenges.
